Arragua / Presentation

Arropaineko Arragua, a space for the development of contemporary creation practices. Arropaineko Arragua is located on the banks of the Lekeitio estuary, and directs its actions in the space between the intersection between two areas: the creation practices and the transmission of knowledge.

Based on these positions, Arropaineko Arragua aims to provide a framework of propositional relations that produces a radically democratic space that fosters synergy between institutions, creators, the general population and in formation, in order to achieve a contemporary disposition towards creative productions in the territory and that means a strengthening of the creators and their productions.

Arragua proposes that it is possible to think of other relationships that do not just relate as cultural merchandise and its consumption, opening as far as possible some relationships in experimental disposition and strengthening the process of identifying the work of art as a social practice among others.

To do this, we have activated 3 programs designed from two point of views: the analysis of possible participation in the territory of application (Lea Artibai) and the adaptation to the current situation of the creative practices. These programmes are:

- Phyo programme
